About Me

Hello. My name is Trevor Baltz. Like most people I consider myself to be a good person. I try to live my life by the golden rule, Do unto others as you would wish they would do unto you. Or something like that. I also believe that we learned everything we need to know in Kindergarten. Things like; play nice, don't pull hair and be fair. Anyway I am just a normal guy trying to by in a world that can be really weird sometimes. I do have a special purpose for providing this information. You see I've been through it. I lived it, breathed it, cried over it, got really, really mad about how unfair the world is. And I found a way out. As with many challenges in life, things didn't work out the way I dreamed they would, but they did work out. Now I'm happy. My children are grown adults. They grew up just fine despite my fears, concerns and horrors I felt when going through my situation. Life finds a way and I found mine...you will too!

My situation started in 2008 with the great mortgage meltdown. Like many at the time I lost my business and had to replace a substantial income. Things got bad, really bad which caused a divorce and parenting agreements for my two children. It was really nasty. My business disappeared seemingly overnight. There was no money coming in. As a self employed person for many years I did not qualify for unemployment benefits. Life sucked if you were me. I remember at the time two people I used to do business with actually killed themselves. Another friend of mine tried to before his family and friends were able to help him find his way out. Like I said it was nasty!

Which brings me to how I got out of my situation. In the divorce I agreed to keep the expensive family home so that the children would not have to change schools or the worst of all, leave their friends. It was a real pressure cooker and in the end I just could not afford it on my new, much lower income. Somehow I was able to continue living in the home 3.5 years and only making 4-5 payments. There was no planning at the time. I was in real world survival mode as far as I was concerned. Through a lot of research, trial and error and some dumb luck I extended my living situation without really paying for it which caused me to Buy Time. After living thorugh that and knowing how painful it was I decied to give back. I want to help you know what options are available to you. I want you to know that it is not the end of the world, but it feels like it. It definitaley feels like it.

So read through the information. Ask anyone you know who is smart or educated on housing, finance or legal issues and find your way out. And if you have any questions don't hesistate to call me at 720-541-9991, my name is Trevor.
