As you probably heard "The Hold" began on March 27, 2020 when President Donald Trump signed the CARES ACT. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act which everyone remembers during the early days of the pandemic. Among the many pages of the Covid Relief Bill was section preventing foreclosures until August 31, 2020. The story is less clear from here. After legal challenges, extensions and a newly elected President Joe Biden taking over what we know is that Foreclosure Courts in Colorado are not holding sales. What this means to you is more time...but how much?

Unfortunately the Colorado Foreclosure Courts do not provide good updated information on sale that have been scheduled and not held. The best option is to make plans NOW while you still can.
